We treat all kinds of grief, not just death-related grief.  The NOGC addresses grief related symptoms that come with relationship loss, identity loss, changes in status or sobriety.

The relationship you develop is very important so the first session is spent getting to know each other.  It is a chance for you to ask questions on how the therapist may approach some of what you are experiencing.

The time that you continue to seek treatment is up to you.   Your therapist will make a recommendation and you are always able to determine for yourself if this therapy is right for you.

You and your therapist will discuss the treatment approach, how frequently to schedule visits and for how long.  All of this is up to you, your therapist will make a recommendation based on the goals you have established.

Therapy sessions are often the space to process difficult emotions and some can experience a sense of relief to have a place to share this.  At the NOGC, your emotional health and wellbeing are very important to us and we take care to provide skills to use outside of the sessions.
