The Full Story
About the New Orleans Grief Center
The New Orleans Grief Center was founded by Allison Lindsey Durant in 2020. Allison, after participating in her own therapy later in life, realized she had never grieved the death of her mother, who died when she was 18 years old. Working through this unexpressed grief and learning she had adopted ways of “coping” that impacted her life negatively, led her to pursue a Masters in counseling so that she could help others on their own grief journey.
